The story behind Golden Gate Hotel & Casino
The property opened in 1906 as Hotel Nevada, received Las Vegas' first telephone number and later operated as Sal Sagev. It adopted the Golden Gate name in 1955 and remains at One Fremont Street after numerous expansions.
